How a DCTI standard is developed
A DCTI standard is developed in dialogue: with experts from research and practice, with the organisations that apply it, and with the stakeholders affected by its impact – in Germany, in Europe and worldwide. It is regularly reviewed and updated; every version remains documented.
DCTI sets the standard. Its application – evaluation, awarding, monitoring – lies in the hands of those responsible for the respective procedure. This division of roles is what gives every result its backing.
Standards in use
DCTI standards are published where they take effect: within the respective procedure, together with criteria, version and contacts. Anyone evaluating according to a DCTI standard makes this clear in their procedure.
For institutions and companies
DCTI develops standards for procedures that are built to last – for award systems, evaluation programmes, and reporting formats, on its own initiative and on behalf of institutions, associations, and companies. The benchmark is always the same: traceable in its derivation, robust in its application, open to review.
